Watercolor: Rancho Santa Fe by Kevin Anderson

The historic village of Rancho Santa Fe, California, is a favorite spot for local residents and visitors to enjoy the rich heritage of the local culture.  The rare beauty of the village has been captured in many forms of art. Our favorite is a brilliant watercolor by local artist Kevin Anderson. The corner building in Kevin’s watercolor is home to the Rancho the Santa Fe office of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. You would enjoy meeting us there to discuss your real estate interests in the area and we would love to take you for a stroll around the village.

About Kevin Anderson

If you were somewhere on the north San Diego coastline and quickly passed by a man wearing a straw hat standing at a well-worn easel, busily working on a glorious scene with a Dachshund sitting nearby – you missed the chance to say hello to one our most beloved local artists, Kevin Anderson.

Kevin’s art is brilliantly colored, including the many outdoor murals along the San Diego coast. You can see his murals nearby at the Leucadia Mobil gas station and Swami’s Café, in Encinitas. He recently finished murals on the Citibank building located at I-5 and Lomas Santa Fe in Solana Beach, and custom murals grace the homes along Cedros that can be seen from the 101. All of these celebrate the beauty of our coastal region.

We selected Kevin’s watercolor of Rancho Santa Fe as our favorite depiction of the village that Julie grew up in. We maintain close ties there through our work, our family and long-time friendships. Julie and Kevin were classmates and friends in junior high into high school and it has been a joy to follow his career throughout the years. We are honored to purposefully promote and celebrate his art in this way.

Kevin continues to paint large murals on buildings, commissions on canvas, and outdoor scenes on location. His dream is to make a significant contribution to the art world. He has certainly done that for us locally.
